Outback Investments, LLC operates Virtual Assigner at virtualassigner.net. Virtual Assigner connects youth-sports officials with recreation organizations that need officials for games.

Information we collect

Officials and organization staff register on the site and provide contact details, including a mobile phone number. We collect the name, email address or phone number you use for your account.

Official profiles may include a home ZIP code, travel distance, sports, roles, experience, availability, certificates, and uploaded certificate files. We also keep tax-form status and pay records.

Organization records include organization names, cities, game locations, check-in instructions, games, and fees. We keep offers, accept/decline responses, assignments, check-ins, game reports, reviews, scores, disputes, and invoice records.

The site uses browser storage and sign-in cookies where needed to keep you signed in. Technical error information may be recorded to help us fix problems.

How we use information

We use information to manage accounts, match officials to games, confirm assignments, share schedules and check-in details, handle reports and disputes, and keep payment and tax-form records. We also use it to provide support and protect the service.

Virtual Assigner pays officials and handles their tax forms. In this version, payments take place outside the app; the app keeps records and does not move money.

When information is shared

Organizations can view official résumés, including experience, certifications, certificate files, scores, and games worked. Officials and organizations can view information needed for their games. Authorized administrators can review records to run the service and resolve problems.

Service providers may process information to host the app, provide sign-in, store files, or deliver enabled messages. Information may also be shared when required by law.

We do not sell mobile phone numbers or share SMS opt-in information or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Providers that support the text-message program may use this information only to provide that service.

Text messages (SMS)

When you check the text-message consent box during sign-up, you agree to receive game-related texts from Virtual Assigner at the mobile number you provide.

The game-message program covers game assignment offers, accept/decline confirmations, schedule reminders, and check-in notices. Message frequency varies based on game activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out of game-related texts at any time. Reply HELP for help. You can also contact hello@virtualassigner.net.

Offers go to several officials. The first official to accept gets the spot. An offer is not a booked game until it is confirmed.

Game-related text delivery and automated STOP/HELP replies are not active in this version. Offers, confirmations, schedules, and check-in updates are available in the app. When text delivery is enabled, the program must support the messages and opt-out rules described here. If you choose text-code sign-in, the app also requests a sign-in code through its sign-in service.

Your choices and keeping information safe

You can update the profile fields available in your account. To ask to access, correct, or delete other personal information, email hello@virtualassigner.net. Some records may need to be kept for tax, billing, legal, or dispute reasons.

We use account access controls and private certificate storage. No online service can promise complete security. We keep information as needed to provide the service and meet recordkeeping duties; the final policy should confirm retention periods.

Youth sports and policy updates

The service is for officials and organization staff, not for children to create player accounts. Please do not upload private information about children that is not needed to arrange a game. Contact us if you believe a child’s personal information was provided improperly.
