Terms of Service

Draft for review · October 28, 2026

This draft is not a final legal policy. It needs review before it is adopted.

About the service

Outback Investments, LLC operates Virtual Assigner at virtualassigner.net. The service connects youth-sports officials with recreation organizations that need officials for games. These draft terms describe use of the service and need review before adoption.

Your account

Officials and organization staff register and provide a mobile phone number and other account details. Give accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep sign-in codes and links private. Organization staff must be authorized to act for their organization.

Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not submit false credentials, reports, or game requests, access someone else’s account, or misuse other people’s information.

Offers and assignments

Offers go to several officials. The first official to accept gets the spot. An offer is not a booked game until Virtual Assigner confirms it. A spot may already be filled when you respond.

Officials should review game details and check-in instructions before accepting. Organizations should provide accurate schedules, locations, fees, and check-in instructions. Use the app to report changes, give up an assignment, check in, and report what happened after a game.

Show-up guarantee, pay, and tax forms

If you check in at the venue but there is no game, you earn one game fee under the show-up guarantee. Tap “I'm here” when you arrive, then report “I arrived, no game.” If the reports disagree, an administrator reviews the dispute.

Virtual Assigner pays officials and handles their tax forms. Officials must provide a completed W-9 before they can be paid. After the first worked game, a W-9 that is not complete blocks acceptance of more games.

If an official confirms the game and the organization does not respond within 24 hours after the game, pay becomes ready, subject to tax-form requirements and dispute review. In this version, payments happen outside the app. The app records amounts and payment status; it does not transfer money.

Organizations are responsible for the game fees, placement fees, and any late fees shown in their records. These draft terms do not change the app’s current fee settings or game rules.

Text messages (SMS)

When you check the text-message consent box during sign-up, you agree to receive game-related texts from Virtual Assigner at the mobile number you provide.

The game-message program covers game assignment offers, accept/decline confirmations, schedule reminders, and check-in notices. Message frequency varies based on game activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out of game-related texts at any time. Reply HELP for help. You can also contact hello@virtualassigner.net.

Offers go to several officials. The first official to accept gets the spot. An offer is not a booked game until it is confirmed.

Game-related text delivery and automated STOP/HELP replies are not active in this version. Offers, confirmations, schedules, and check-in updates are available in the app. When text delivery is enabled, the program must support the messages and opt-out rules described here. If you choose text-code sign-in, the app also requests a sign-in code through its sign-in service.

Profiles, reports, and availability

Organizations can view official résumés and uploaded certificates. Self-reported experience and uploaded files are not automatically verified. Verified scores are based on game records in the app. Submit accurate reports and contact us about errors or disputes.

We cannot promise that every game will be filled, that you will receive an assignment, or that the site or a message will always be available on time. Review confirmed assignments in the app.

Privacy, questions, and updates

Our Privacy Policy explains how account and game information is used. For questions about these terms, privacy, or text messages, email hello@virtualassigner.net.

These pages are drafts for review, not a statement that SMS compliance has been approved. Final terms and messaging practices must be reviewed before adoption. The date at the top identifies this draft.
